Woodfire Macchiato

Haha, this was suppose to be up like, a week ago

We visited Macchiato (338 Pitt St, Sydney) last week for dinner. There were 3 of us, so by looking at the portions, we only ordered two mains. one Chicken Risotto and one Pizza Mexicana. Being located in CBD, this place is quite busy during dinner hours. We could see the woodfire & pizza counter from the place we sat and the chef didn’t stop moving his hands. He kept on putting ingredients onto the pizza board, and putting them into the woodfire, taking them out, slicing them, and it goes on and on and on..

Look at the ‘towering’ pizza boxes.. Pizza Twin Tower. HAHAHA

They have lotsa varieties of Pizzas, check out their website

pizza

Pizza Mexicana - cajun chicken, capsicum, shallots, spanish onions, jalapenos and boccocini cheese

It was good, the dough was thin and crispy. Not really burnt so it’s good.

chicken risotto

Chicken Risotto - grilled chicken, bacon, fresh vine tomatoes in a pomodoro sauce

THis one was good. I liked the sauce. It’s better than the one I ate in Leichardt some time ago (I can’t remember the name of the restaurant. eekk)

We ordered a bottle of housewine. Which was good too! haha. It wasn’t very strong unlike those that choke up ur nose :P Well, wine’s good cause it keeps u warrrmmm…
