After coming to Sydney, I realise, the variety of snacks here could kill any country suffering from poverty. Like, seriously… If I were to try each and every single snack available, I wouldnt be able to finish it till I die, or till I’m diagnose with diabetis or obesity.. With the diversity of people here, snacks of course, comes differently and really, u have lotsa choices to choose from. My target would probably be Japanese / Korean snacks. Sorry but I’m not a tim-tam fan :P I’m more curious about how black sesame pocky taste than orange flavoured chocolate.
And so, the search for the ultimate snack… begins …..
Snack no.1
Black Sesame Pocky
I’m quite fond of things with black sesame after eating a black sesame tong sui in Hong Kong a few years back. It was an awesome hot-dessert. And so, every chinese restaurant I go to, (which I think might have some hot-dessert) I’ll try to look for black sesame tong sui. Only the black sesame paste. not the ones in glutinous rice balls, I don’t fancy glutinous rice balls either. haha (am I being such a picky eater now?)
Anyway, back to the snack, I was at a Asian grocery store and was at the cashier, and then I spotted a black sesame pocky! good gracious! I just grabbed it. haha (even Pocky has like sooo many types, compared to the chocolate, strawberry, and milk ones in Malaysia)

deng deng deng. priced at $4.15, it’s very expensive for a tiny little box of snack. considering u could grab 2 packets of chips at the major grocery stores..

Open the box, and you could smell the seedy slightly burnt sweet black sesame aroma.
One bite, mm… black sesame. checked. Of course, just by the appearance, one could very much guess that it’s black sesame. The sweetness of it was just alright, not too hyper sweet. Ok, it’s a snack, it’s suppose to be sweet but not like as if u’re eating sugar syrup or what. After eating it, I felt like having black sesame paste!!!!!!!! Maybe i should go hunt in asian grocery stores to see if there’s any ready-made type.. nyek nyek nyek..
Final score: 4/5 (minus 1 for the expensive-ness :()
