breakfast @ bills2

Because we were disappointed about not having to eat breakfast on our first trip to bills

Because the breakfast was what we wanted

Because they were the talk of people.

And so….

three days later, we went to bills at Surry Hills again! This time, the queue was uberly LONG, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Hah.. it’s probably because it was a Sunday, eh ?

corn fritters

Corn Fritters with bacon and spinach and roasted tomatoes. I wasn’t in the mood for toasts, after suffering from a serious sickness called Breadophobia, u know what I mean, :P. Some fritters would be better. Corn, yeah, I’m not so much of a corn-fan either, but this was pretty good. Its good to stuff veges in ur stomach during breakfast, then u’re secured with some servings of veges, just incase u decide to be a carnivour the rest of the day. Wait, corn is a type of vege right ?? right ?!?!?! *yes… I’m pretty sure.. I think* ANYWAY.. the tomatoes were sweet and soft. Bacon and spinach tasted like how they’re suppose to be..

Scrambled egg. As it may seem, it’s suppose to be famous in bills, is it ? Well, this was an extra order anway. I thought that getting the corn fritters and scrambled egg would be a better deal than getting the big-breakfast (which consist of toast and ..eggs, and for the rest of the stuffs, it’s additional charge..) Em, it was pretty good, but was slightly cold. Well, might be because we were busy talking instead, haha

ricotta hotcakes

Ricotta Hotcakes with honey buttercomb and Bananas. LIKE BANANAS! I’ve not eaten banana after I came to Sydney cause it’s too bloody expensive.. Oh wait, I’ve actually eaten one, from one of the classes in LCB, where we had to use banana as decoration, but everyone ate it instead, I assume. This was really good, really fluffy and thick at the same time. The recipe is available on bill’s website, it seemed pretty easy. I’ll make when I have time for breakfast, which only falls on SUnday, that is, if i manage to wake up early. My weekly schedule is surpressing my breakfast time. I only go on pears or other fruits or breakfast bars and milk, cause I can’t wake up half and hour earlier to prepare myself proper breakfast. :P

*OMG, I still haven’t post up about the croissants.. and Malaysian Fest, and Spnish Quarter Festival! and Laksa!!! damn!!*

Looks scrumptious! I’ve been personally looking for ages, a place to have cheap and good continental/English breakfast. You know, round the house - baked beans, bacon and eggs and toast type thing. La Bodega is pretty good, but expensive and they serve beef bacon (elkkkk!!).

Know anywhere good? One of those traditional Hainanese coffee shops would do too!

Verne, I’m not sure if u’re talking about in M’sia or Sydney, but this place is in Sydney.. Breakfast in Malaysia ? whats’ good ?!?! wait, are you non-malay ? cause i’m gonna say BAH KUT TEH… oh wait, u just said english breakfast.. Frankly speaking, I never had english breakfast as breakfast unless i’m in a hotel where they serve buffet breakfast..

enjoyed all ur post since u landed in Oz. Keep it up.

omg look at the scrammbled egg, so damn creamy man … i can never get that texture …

Wow, nice pics! Much nicer than those I took… (”hmmm….not fair….*sulk*) - haha
