Dinner party

laksa

*I like this picture, hence the topmost one. heh..*

I’ve become accustomed to joining my landlady and her friends for dinner. First it was a BBQ, then it was the Indian Feast at home. Now, we went to one of their houses to have laksa. And laksa wasn’t what we had. We ended up having chawanmushi, some beancurd salad thingy, fresh oysters, broccoli, laksa, jelly and sparkling juice and glutinous black sesame balls… so full till cannot tahan.

Confession : I forgot to bring my LCB file back, hence, no LCB-related post. I know, my croissant post has been a week delayed. And I’ve got visitor tomorrow till Sunday.. Will I have time !?!?!? Yes … I will … :P And about the title, erm, I can’t think of what to put in. Dinner party might be nice as there’re a few people sitting around the table eating and yakking and laughing. Dont u reckon?

broccoli

First, blanched broccoli. Easy peasy no worries

Beancurd with carrots and coriander leaves. I’ve not eaten this before. But em, it was ok, not my type of food, maybe..

chawanmushi

Deng deng deng! Chawan Mushi!! Looks like the one in Japanese Restaurant ? Tasted better than those too !! dammit! I can just eat that alone.. *slurrpppss*

oysters

Fresh Oysters. yum yum.. Compatible with the ones in Fish Market. This was bought in one of a seafood market in Burwood. Don’t ask me what’s the name of the shop, because I have no idea. Seriously, I feel bad for those who’s raw food intolerance. Oysters and Sashimi has to be one of the best!!!!!

laksa

Laksa with pranws, bean sprouts, fishballs and fishcakes (or was it tofu…) (That’s the consequences of not blogging right away, I tend to forget things) Yummy yummy delicious!! The only thing missing is …… SAMBAL !!! It’s not much of a Malaysian Laksa cause it didn’t have much coconut milk taste. But t was good to surpress the craving for now. haha

One of them bought a sparkling grape drink. I know, laksa and sparkling juice has got no whatsoever connection.. But hey, a drink is a drink!

Jelly.. This was em… actually, a few days old. Served with berry compote, actually we had some ice cream as well. HAHAHA, to company the berry compote. I thought it’s suppose to be the other way round. ;)

Glutinous Black Sesame Rice Balls with peanuts. Bought from Asian stores, pop in the microwave for a few moments, ting. There u go… Pre-packed food, what d’ya expect..

Lighting in the house was good, as I had the chance to take some, erm, nice pictures. Hahaha.
