I am sometimes quite amazed with what I can do myself, HaHa. Do I really have to praise myself at the beginning of a post ? Nah, just kidding. Thats why it’s called the accidental chicken. Precisely, accidental sweet chilli chicken fillets.
This is by far the most intersting chinese dish i’ve made since coming to Sydney. It’s abit surprisingly, like KFC popcorn chicken. The chicken batter was good!! like KFC!!

Em, it may not look as appealing as it taste.. haha
Anyway, I seriously can’t write the measurement of the stuffs I used, cause it was just a mix-in thingy. What I did was, I blend a tbsp of cornflour with water, then added 1 egg yolk, some shao hsing wine and salt and then marinate the chicken in it for an hour. Then, before frying, i coat the chicken with equal amount of corn flour and plain flour.
For the sauce, this is tricky, if I were to remake this again, I doubt I can do the same sauce.. Anyway, I used a store-bought sweet chilli sauce, heat it up, added sugar, honey, lemon juice, hsao hsing wine.. maybe abit of salt, yeah. But in the end, it was good! like bloody good! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
