Bondi Trattoria with Milk and Cookies

Another meeting up with a foodblogger. To count, she would probably be my third foodblogger I’ve met. Haha. She is Jen from Milk and Cookies. Previously, it was a Malaysian Foodblogger that came to Sydney for a business trip - Sweets for my sweet tooth, and Suyin from The Journal of a Girl who Loves to Cook

Anyway, its fun meeting up with foodbloggers or maybe bloggers, cause only us-people would take up our cameras and start snapping on food before eating and just about everything! Even the table next to us, which I observed, were giggling at us. Hrm, how unthoughtful of them.

We went to Bondi Trattoria, obviously at Bondi Beach as the name suggests. It was such a gooood weather that Bondi Beach was so fully packed! Like club sandwiches, except that, there’s alot of skin and bikinis and surfer dudes *gasp* *looks at self* *need to join gym*

Poached egg with spinach and smoked salmon and potato pancake with mustard sauce. $14.50

Let me see, the potato pancake was abit like hash brown, but not commercially produce on machines. You get the idea? Smoked salmon was great with the spinach. And it was nicely presented, makes everything tastes better. haha, don’t u reckon?

HUGE Breakfast Pizza with Spinach, Sausages, Tomato and Bacon. Like HUGE! $15

I managed to try a piece so it was nice, the base was crunchy and thin. But, it’s too big for BREAKFAST!! But as we walk along the shops at Campbell Parade, they serve pizza this size as well, so, It’s no big deal I guess. Haha. I’m only being culture-shocked. Haha :D

There wasn’t much people surfing. Or is it that bondi’s not famous for surfing? But anyway, a shock alarm triggered and everyone on the beach stood up to look what was happening. It was quite mysterious as they din say what was happening, we can only presume that there’re sharks or stingrays or wahtever dangerous sea-animal. Cause the “baywatchers” had to go shoo everyone from the water and even the helicopter came really really close to the water. Must have been some havoc there eh?

Pistachio gelato from Pompei’s (next to Hurricane’s Grill)

It’s Spring! The sun is out! Ice cream / gelato melts faster!!! We bought the ice cream, then crossed the road to the beach, then sat down, and took out the camera to snap a photo before we EAT IT! us foodbloggers are really going too much eh ? hahaha

I had a great time. So, when’s the next Sydney foodbloggers meet-up eh? :D :D

off, to brazilian fest. woot woot

Swee, your photos turned out really well! It was certainly a great day for the beach. I took the rest of the pizza home but by that time it had gone a bit stale. My dog did enjoy it though.
I also have to comend you in the promptness of your posting, I’m a bit slow. Can’t wait to see how the Brazillian Festival went…
