Sugar Hit is another event during the Good Food Month. It’s everyday from 9pm in the month of October. So, the concept is, the hotels offer a dessert plate at $15 including a Brown Brothers Dessert Wine. Of course, I had to try at least one Sugar Hit. And so, we went to Sheraton on the Park after the Noodle Night, since it’s just opposite Hyde Park. Heh.

Clockwise from top left. Mini spring berry triffle in chocolate cup, little pavlova with passionfruit butter, chocolate rum baba.
Taste verdict - The best if I were to choose is the pavlova, the pavlova was smooth and wasn’t too sweet. As for the passionfruit butter.. Em… I thought it was a passionfruit pulp
.. Second was the berry triffle. It’s too small to taste anything, but yeah the chocolate cup idea was good *keeps that in mind* Cause triffles aren’t really pretty at the sides, so this idea is quite good. Lastly, chocolate rum baba.. I have no freaking idea what this piece of thing is. For me, it tasted like a bad kept-a-few-days-old sponge cake, and it’s dry.
The Brown Brothers dessert wine was nice, the taste before eating was abit sweet, then while u’re eating, it tasted better, not too sweet. and after you finish the desserts and drink the wine, it started to have this wine-bittery taste.
You know, I wanna go to the Four Season’s Sugar Hit cause the menu looked tempting, BUT…. I can alreayd produce 2 plates of ’sugar hit’ by the end of this week. So, I should think of how to finish those gateaux rather than, splurge another $15 for a plate of… slight-disappointment.
