dimpled bread

Suddenly it looked liks an oasis. Maybe because of the rosemary and the sea salts. ;)

Oh right, Focaccia bread is a flat bread which is slightly similar to pizza dough but it’s thicker than pizza, is dimpled and contains olive oil. The basic recipe is thought by some to have originated with the Etruscans or ancient Greeks, but nowadays it is particularly known as a delicacy of the Northern Italian cuisine. Focaccia is quite popular in Italy and is usually seasoned with olive oil and herbs, topped with cheese and meat or flavored with a number of vegetables. Focaccia is extensively used as sandwich bread outside Italy.

Nothing beats a freshly baked bread. Fresh from the oven.

Dipped in olive oil with a good quality balsamic vinegar, and some sea salt. Yum!

Recipes will be up soon!

LAst week of class in LCB, oh dear.  I am SO GOING TO MISS going to kitchens!! *sob sob*
