Why are we so cool

Haha, i know its a very self-absorbent title. But I just thinking cooking together at work for lunch is so fun! (provided there’s not like 50 people in the establishment lah)

So we made Tuna Pasta with Fresh green salad

Tuna Pasta Salad

Spirals or penne pasta for 4
1 can tuna in spring water
handful sultanas
1 stick celery
1/2 white onion
Italian dressing
Mayonnaise
small knob butter
Herbs - Dill, Basil
Salt and Pepper
2 handful small seedless grapes (make sure its seedless)
Roasted almond flakes

So first, boil pasta till al dente with abit of salt and oil. It depends on how you wanna serve it, as main or side, you can use different type of pasta. It’s quite Jamie O style (spontaneous cooking). Drain pasta in colander and put into a big salad /mix bowl.

Dice celery and white onion. They provide more of texture than taste actually.  Drain tuna.

And here comes the throw and toss part. While pasta is still hot, stir in say about 1 tbsp of butter. Toss it in 1/2 cup of Italian dressing and a couple of spoons of mayo (full fat or non fat is absolutely your choice ;)) Adjust the ratio to your personal liking. I’ve made coleslaw before where I used 1/4 Italian dressing and 3/4 mayo, instead of the coleslaw dressing. This way its not so guilty *puppy eyes* and its lighter.

Then add in herbs. Probably fresh dill and dried basil. Be sure to chop drill if its fresh.

Then add in the rest of stuffs and toss toss toss. Go with your taste buds and add in whatever that u think is not enough.

For the green salad, it’s just lettuce, grated carrots, sultanas, roasted almond and balsamic vinegar with abit of herb and condiments. Oh so fun it is :D
